Music Mile YYC MUSIC MILE is buzzing with musical energy generated by the talented musicians who perform here year round, in all genres, at an extraordinary variety of venues.

Sunglaciers / 7:00pm one of Calgary’s preeminent psych rock outfits. With a dazzling live show, the four-piece wind through their spindly pop gems, moving across time signatures and polyrhythms with ease. -

LQRMTN / 8:00pm Danny Vescarelli and The Liquor Mountain cast of cosmic cowboys' experimental set full of peddles, loops, fuzz, strings and your mind and the Mountain will follow.

Polly Dactic / 9:00pm Polly Dactic are a 3-piece synth wave band started by Miss Uranus (Hag Face) for the love of all things astrological and science fiction. Joined by Dr. Zaurus (Sunglaciers) and Nagrom Newg (Purlicue), the trio released their EP Half Nermal in 2019 and it became the most played album on CJSW that year. The band fuses electro-pop and new wave sounds into a wild experience that can take the listener from uneasy to ethereal, sometimes within the same song. Western Canada quickly took notice and they managed to earn opening spots for higher profile acts like Jo Passed, FRIGS and Tough Age, as well as repeat invitations to play Sled Island and Femme Wave. Polly Dactic plan to de-atomize by 2029.

The Future Language If you dig the weirder and waxier side of life, tune your eardrums for two hours of riveting misfit music – lotsa fuzz lotsa noise and no fun.

CJSW Radio Our mission is to increase the profile of local, Canadian, and independent artists, groups and organizations.
