We are beyond thrilled to invite over 140 members of YYC's vibrant scene to the first of many Calgary Music Industry Socials! Happening tonight at Jams Diner in Inglewood, at one of our newest Music Mile Venues, we aim to unite the many incredible people that are slayin' the game in our local industry. This could be anyone, from musician to producer, videographer to stage-tech - all are welcome to join in on this important evening of networking and connection.
There is an open stakeholder meeting today from 5-7 PM, followed by the social from 7 PM till late!
We are even more thrilled to have our friends at Stagehand on site this evening. Stagehand plays a vital role as a local tech-startup assisting venues and artists, bridging the gap and providing easier access to gigs and live music in conventional and equally non-conventional spaces. Tonight, founder Derek Manns will be on site to answer any of your questions about Stagehand and how you can utilize this tool in your personal buisness (artist or industry professional alike).
Speaking of Stagehand, we use this software platform to run our ongoing paid busking programs that happen in East Village and Inglewood. We wanted to give you a heads up that tomorrow morning at 10 AM MST we will have open applications for our winter, "Live at the Hygge Hut" Series! This is open to any musician, so mark your calendars and make sure to have your Stagehand profile ready with updated videos, photos and links to your socials (we do look at those when reviewing your applications!)
Tonight we are stoked to be hosting this evening at Jams Diner, however we are on the look-out for the next great space to host our spring social!
