As we enter spring, we look ahead to some incredible activations, events and more for "The Mile", including an impactful mural unveiling on 9th Ave SE in April.
This year we are working hard to further our support of the community thru continued volunteer impact from East Village thru Inglewood - are you interested in helping be a part of our night market team? Interested in attending some festivals this summer on the behalf of Music Mile? There's various roles and ways you can get engaged with our non-profit organization - just drop us an email to info@musicmile.ca to find out more and to join the crew.
On Friday, March 29th, join us in amplifying a new (to us) venue on "the mile", High Line Brewing, with an evening of music in the round supporting three incredible artists at varying stages of their careers. Join Erin Ross, CKUA host and vital scene contributor - hot off their new full-length album release, Maclayne, recently returned from a 3 month stint in southern and central America, and Eden Taylor, an up and coming talent from Airdrie with something to say. High Line Brewing has been amping up their programming and we are partnering with them for this special evening of music. We aim to bring you in to check out this beautiful space. H.L.Brewing also offers some tasty dawgs, delicious brews and 0% options for everyone to enjoy.
Show starts at 7 PM. Tickets are available here, and at the door: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/868481771357?aff=oddtdtcreator
In April we are celebrating a very special man in our community - Marvin "The Fly Muse" Kee - with a special day of music and a mural unveiling by artist Alex Kuong. In tribute to a musician that impacted so many, we are beyond thrilled that this event is moving forward and into the light. Mark your calendars for April 27th, with full details available here:
Please invite and spread the word about this special day for Marv.
